LEGAL EDUCATION
Supporting students who need a way forward.
Since 2010, YTAH has actively granted cash bursaries and laptops to approximately 170 undergraduate Law students. Support is intended to reduce the practical financial pressures that can stand between a capable student and a legal education.

YTAH collaborates with legal and higher-education institutions to recognise outstanding performance. Its longest-running programme is the annual Best Overall Student prize for the Certificate in Legal Practice examinations, sponsored since 1997.

Recognising excellence and supporting access at UUM.
Since 2013, Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid has sponsored the university’s award for the highest-achieving LL.B (Hons) graduate, carrying a gold medal and RM1,000 cash prize. The relationship has also included bursary and laptop assistance for Law students facing financial constraints.
The Foundation’s earlier records show the partnership operating at both ends of student life: merit awards at convocation and direct financial assistance during study. In 2014, YTAH recorded RM7,200 in cash assistance for financially needy UUM students for the 2014–15 academic year.

A growing partnership with UniSZA’s Faculty of Law and International Relations.
Since 2023, YTAH has sponsored UniSZA’s special award for the best Bachelor of Laws (Hons) student, with a RM1,000 cash prize, alongside annual bursary support for Law students.
The relationship extends beyond awards. YTAH co-sponsored the International Conference on Law and Globalisation 2024, organised by UniSZA’s Faculty of Law and International Relations, and the Foundation’s earlier site also records its commitment to sponsor the construction and furnishing of a student hub for the Faculty’s six Law clubs and associations.
